APRIL 2008 The large collection of Daffodils are still in bloom, the majority of Cherry Trees are starting to blossom and the Arboretum looks spectacular. The Bluebells are just starting to show some colour and will look beautiful in time for our Blossom and Bluebell Tours on Friday 9th May and Friday 16th May at 1.00pm, join us for a leisurely walk!! Sadly in the recent winds we lost three rare Pine Trees all from Carolyn's Walk. We hope to replace these shortly for future generations!! We shall be planting 90 extra trees in the shelter belts around the Arboretum to replace ones that have been lost over recent years. |
